or at least we think we do

but the web has changed
the fundaments
of the hierarchical ordering of
information flows
many groups wish the web
to be hierarchically structured
to priviledge the priviledged
and in many instances
this is happening

Berners-Lee did not wish the web to be organized hierarchically
the web experience is based on our desire for
freedom
of information
a fundament for two other freedoms
we hold dear
freedom of speech
and freedom of belief

the web is chaotic

what are the educational implications of chaos ?

dare educators incorporate the chaotic principles underlying heuristic searches?

can we emotionally handle lack
of order?
or will we fence in the web the way we did the land?

this virtual land could become the template for new age concepts of tangible lands

designing this virtual land could be the training we need to move into space and under the sea

or we could destroy ourselves
with our own rigidity
