TrUst is rEaLly HarD

 Trust is one of those things that no one wants to do first - like diving into the lake for the first time as the spring breaks into summer - like being the first one to take off all their clothes - like the first one to ask a question in a lecture hall - like the first one to laugh out loud - no one wants to be the first one to trust.

Trusting people puts us less in their control than standard hierarchically ordered relationships do.

Ironically, we like being in someone's control in the organization: "I'm just doing my job; they will take the responsibility."

Perhaps hierarchies came about because we are too lazy to solve the conundrum of trust:
