CULTURE EDITORIAL

Our world is altogether an area of astonishing cultural diversity. Every society has its own and unique expression of human culture, that complex whole which includes language, art, relighion, technology, and so on. Within each society, these components of human culture are structured and organized in a particular way that varies widely among groups.

We believe that cultures themselves should not be evaluated or graded as higher or lower, superior or inferior. The elements of any culture are to be understood in terms of their relationship to that particular culture as a whole. Each culture should be appreciated in terms of itself.
