FAMILY VIOLENCE
I am the child in the family.
What can I do?
You
are not alone!
Remember
to keep yourself SAFE
Stay out of
the fight
Ask someone for help
Find a safe adult
Everyone knows it's not your
fault!
It is sad,
but there are other kids living in homes where there is fighting
and violence. They sometimes feel scared, angry, lonely, frustrated,
and confused.
Some kids
have trouble in school and find that it is hard to concentrate.
Other kids get into fights or get in lots of trouble at home, school,
or in their neighborhood.
There are
other kids who try to be perfect because they think that might keep
them or their parent from getting hurt.
No matter
how you feel, it is not okay for you to live in a violent home,
and you and your family deserves help.
If you want to talk to someone right now you can call
the Teen Helpline at 441-8336..
